Why a Triumvirate?

A triumvirate may lack wit and personality, but it is not bound by the character of one individual as are traditional political parties in Canada.

One ego should not determine the fate of millions of people.

We propose a system of shared power between three party-appointed elected Canadians, forced to agree with a ⅔ majority on any issue.

Why Heuristic Antidisestablishmentarianism?

“In the real, practical world, we don’t need absolute truth: approximate models work just fine.” -Don Norman “The Design of Everyday Things”

Despite this assertion, complex uncheckable models of the world are unable to properly predict potential ramifications of their intended effect on policy. (See the “cobra effect”.)

“From falsehood, anything follows.”

Thus the party’s primary goal is the open and honest communication of different perspectives, and their subjection to rational critique regardless of the identity or distinction of the individual making an assertion. This must be bound by a willingness to tolerate existing models of reality in contexts in which their verity is irrelevant.

Tolerance of dissent is the fundamental prerequisite of a morally progressive society, thus it should be celebrated.

“Celebrate dissent.” -W.H.A.T
